In contrast to today’s typical video service deployments that are manually provisioned the Dimetis BOSS LINK Manager^® automates and unifies transmission link management across disjointed broadcast and telecom environments in an on-demand fashion under one screen providing SLA guaranteed services and allowing faster provisioning, higher revenues and lower operations costs. The Dimetis BOSS LINK Manager^® dynamically configures, schedules, monitors and controls video/audio and data connections across all types of contribution and distribution networks. Technology and protocol agnostic all network transmissions can be precisely configured, scheduled, bandwidth-managed and tracked, with automatic rerouting on path failures or conflicts.

The Dimetis BOSS FILE TRANSFER Manager^®is a powerful and user friendly, accelerator agnostic file transfer management system that streamlines operations to reduce costs. The server contains a data base and a file transfer engine that handles the file transfer processes between all connected clients concurrently. The client provides an intuitive GUI simplifying file transfer processes. The portfolio of features includes fast and reliable transfer of large media files, onboard or third party WAN accelerators, comprehensive user management with secure access control, ad-hoc or scheduled operation, file or directory synchronization, encryption. Line reservation, bandwidth management and pre-emption are combined to create a powerful network management system.

The BOSS FILE TRANSFER Manager^® is available as a stand-alone application or as a plug-in module into the Dimetis BOSS LINK Manager^®. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) facilitates easy integration of other software applications like WAN accelerators, Operation Support Systems (OSS) and/or billing systems.

Particularly Broadcast Carriers will benefit from Dimetis BOSS Schedule^®, the transmission and resources scheduler for broadcast facilities. BOSS Schedule^® is a resource management system for planning and scheduling the required media transmission connections and resources (equipment and staff) in a broadcast environment. Predefined processes and guiding templates are simplifying operation. Within the SOA-based client/server architecture all central processes are handled by the server; it also contains the data storage. The client provides an efficient, user friendly GUI that enables personnel with less practice or without deeper technical knowledge to use the system and take part in the planning process.

The system not only plans and coordinates all video, audio, and command connections for indoor and outdoor events, it also helps ordering resources from external suppliers and thus controls costs.
